Fiction
The Systems Three
The Systems Three by "my ammo crate": political intrigue in this region.
Applause erupted throughout the room as David Redman stepped down from the podium to greet his fellow colleagues. People swarmed around him, passing on their words of congratulations, encouragement and joy, while others greeted him with a warm handshake or a clap on the back. The media crews made their closing remarks, then packed up their equipment and hastily merged with the crowd, mingling with the other guests. The room was alive with chatter, laughter and the distinct sound of the opening of spirits. The event had the air of celebration reminiscent of a New Year’s party. But the people in the room had good reason to, for David had just made history that night. Over the past week, he, and representatives of four other systems, worked out an agreement in a significant step towards peace and order. Military assets from Tioranin and Atbevete would be used alongside local forces to purge the systems of piracy, rebels and other major threats. Once finished, the other three systems would dissolve their current system of rule and replace it with a confederacy. In the end, Tioranin and Atbevete would no longer need to worry about raids near their borders, and the people of Teraed, Aerater and Rigeti would finally have the opportunity to flourish. The whole area would become safer with the reduced hostile presence and was a win-win situation for all.

The Traders Almanach
If the limiting factor is the size of the cargo bay, you've got to get the best gain per unit: You can't make a mistake with buying fur coats here. You've got the choice to move them to Erlage, Enzaer, or Teraed with a good plus per ton of 21.0 Credits, with Atbevete being the second choice in destinations and Diusreza or Qurave last. Trading in Teraed, Diusreza, and Qurave is quite dangerous for beginners. |
