The Koneko Kobra Mk2 is the second ship in the Koneko Kobra line, and the original Kobra's successor. It is a rare ship, seldom seen in space or in shipyards. The ship was built by Koneko Industries using captured Thargoid technology. There have been a few incidents shortly after the ship's release in which a Konenko Kobra Mk2 was mistaken for a Thargoid ship by GalCop Viper pilots. Such incidents are now rare, thanks to the updated ship ident computer.

The ship is sought mostly by pirates and bounty hunters, as the ship sacrifices cargo space for speed and weapons capability.
