Overview

If you ever dropped a Q-Bomb accidentally when you wanted to launch a missile (!!) then this equipment is for you.

All mines will be replaced by a "mine in safety" rectangle on your HUD if this catch is in "safe state".

Prime the "Mine Safety Catch" equipment, selecting it with Shift+N. Then press the mode key (b) to "arm" your mines. Press it again for safety.

The activate (n) key launches the first available missile and surely not a bomb. This allows setting a fast activation key for this equipment and fire a missile to your target without risking a bomb drop regardless of the catch not being in the "safe" position.

Safety Catch defends Q-Bombs only by default.

If you use custom mines from OXPs then you can enable the handling of these in safetycatch.js by setting the SafetyCatchQMineOnly variable to false, but this part of the code has caused problems to a player (awarded more mines than previously bought!). I could not fix it due to not being able to reproduce it: so be wise and report this problem if you also get it!
