Overview

The Xeikil is Staer9 Industries' current top fighter, it is very fast and manouverable due to massive twin witchturbo engines on both sides. It is small and hard to hit, but because its shields are not particularly strong it is very easy to destroy with a military laser... if you get it into the crosshairs. When it was first put into production GalCop requested some special edition Xeikils to help combat the growing piracy in the galaxy. The police version has very recently gone into production and is already protecting all 8 galaxies.

Notable features

Often when someone is shot by a Xeikil their first reaction is 'wow, that looks like a lobster' their second reaction is not repeatable and comes shortly after a 'press space commander' message appearing on their screen.

Version History

Version 1.1, removed large cargo bay from shipyard and fixed some issues causing it to cost 1,000,000 extra credits.

Version 1.2, removed the bug that was causing the shipyard to give it passenger booths resulting in negative cargo.

Version 2, features fully working shaders 24 pirate variants with 8 different paint jobs varying in equipment, a player variant (which at the moment is purple but you can make it whatever colour you want) and a Galcop intercepter variant. If you purchased a Xeikil in version 1.1 or 1.2 you can still use that save file with this oxp, the materials also work on shader disabled machines so you can still see the hull lights.
