What it does
Always wondered how Lave exactly looked? Did you read Status Quo and then found something missing in Oolite? This is gonna change!
This OXP adds 10 unique planets to Galaxy 1. Some planets are true to the descriptions of the novel Status Quo Status Quo by Drew Wagar (found and down loadable on the Oolite Bulletin Board, a must read) and the Rough Guide to the Ooniverse by Disembodied.
The OXP can be installed as a standalone OXP or as an addum to Capt. Kev's Excellent System Redux.OXP
Changes since version 1.1
For each of the ten Famous Planets (Lave, Zaonce, Reorte, Tionisla, Tianve, Teraed, Leesti, Isinor, Diso and Lerelace) the OXP provides a theme tune which plays on arrival from witchspace and on launch from the main station, a new highly retailed planetary texture plus some additional console messaging. All elements are fully configurable using the OXPConfig.oxp Oolite addon.

7. Leesti
9. Diso
10. Lerelace
Installation instructions
This OXP forms the base minimum installation for Famous Planets v1.1. There are two additional music packs (available from the same source as this original zip file), which can be downloaded and added to give the full immersion experience.
To install this OXP, copy the folder "Famous_Planets_v1.1.oxp" and its content into the AddOns folder within your Oolite installation. If you are using the music packs (highly recommended), unzip those and add the content to the "Music" folder within the OXP.
As there is a potential scripting conflict with the original script in the System Redux OXP, an updated specially modified version is supplied with this OXP. If you use this OXP with Famous Planets v1.1, please copy the script.js file in the "System Redux Config" folder into the System Redux OXP folder in the same place as the existing version (overwrite it).
Extra's
System Redux Config patch by Capt. Kev
Thie config file (a script.js file to let famous planets work in conjunction with System Redux) is patched now by Capt. Kev. You can download the patch here [1]
Teread HD
In this folder is a High Res version included of Teread. WARNING: Only for High-end systems. To install just copy the file to the texture directory and replace the file.
Custom planet descriptions v1 (included in the package since version 1.1.)
Adds custom planet descriptions to the famous planets with the exception of the planets that are already in other oxp's.
Planets included are:
Teraed Tionisla Reorte Diso Zaonce
Special credits for Disembodied for his Rough Guide texts. Some descriptions use short parts out of it although modified to fit into the F7 Screen.
Music for all 10 of the famous planets
See above on this page. 10 little electronic music files for 10 of the planets. This idea came a bit from playing other space games like Freelancer and the X-series where music often set the scene for a system. I wanted to enhance the Famous Planets with music. I therefore composed special music for every of the 10 Famous Planets.
Tested with:
Lave.OXP
tgy_dev.OXP (Tionsla Orbital Graveyard)
taranis.OXP (Taranis HQ @ Lerelace)
tianve.OXP (Tianve pulsar)
If you have questions or remarks you can post them in the special thread: 'Released: Famous Planets.OXP' in the Oolite Expansion Pack Forums[2]
