Much like several other areas in Sector 2 The Qucedi Bottleneck is rather difficult region to get to, separated from the rest of the sector by at least 3 long and fairly hostile jumps. As a result very few traders ever see the Qucedi Bottleneck first hand. This is a pity because once inside some of the milk runs available are very lucrative indeed. A trader could happily spend years running round the Escebele, Diteor, Isarin triangle racking up credits. Nagging at the back of their mind however, is the thorny subject of how to get out again.
Maybe sharing some space with the armour clan communist capital ships might be an option. They run through The Maorin Pass fairly frequently and usually get through relatively unscathed. Still as a smaller ship (and a non-communist one at that) don't expect them to come to your aid if one of the pass raiders takes a shining to you.
Historically many traders have cycled round the Bottleneck, making enough credits for a galactic hyperdrive and side stepped the problem completely.
As a side note this entire area has birthed one of the 8's more enduring aphorisms "Witching to Reenus". To any spacer this means a hazardous fools errand with little reward for the considerable danger. Cut off by the The Qucedi Bottleneck from the rest of the sector Reenus is practically identical to Qucedi (it's only access point). So any business that could be done on Reenus could conceivably be expedited on Qucedi (the difference between the two being only one tech level) saving 2 jumps and a lot of danger.

The Qucedi Bottleneck in the far 10 o'clock corner of Galaxy Sector 2 consists of the systems Qucedi, Maorin, Aanteso, Escebele, Tiedis, Isarin, Diteor, Eraronqu, and Anorcequ.
