BBC Disk version

In the BBC Disk classic version, just one missile launched by the player can take out any ship outright; whereas your Cobra Mk 3 can survive a maximum of 3 missile hits. Later versions tried to reduce this imbalance. Likewise there is no distinction between shields and energy for the enemy ships, only a total Hull Strength which must be depleted by your laser fire. The class of Laser Power carried by each ship attacking you is also listed below, along with the maximum number of Missiles (or Thargons) they carry. The Bounty awarded for destroying wanted pirate ships is determined by the ship type.

  • Although the Anaconda may appear to be formidable recall that its manoeuvrability and speed are very poor.
