That's no problem at all. Only input I need is the system sector/system number! (Unless the fiction describes ''fictional'' systems--you're one your own, then.)

I had a thought on the ugly list of planets. Instead, I should just mention the interesting facts: you can land on Goldstein Starport (Major), or dock at O'Connor City (in orbit around Major).

I can also output the entire list of trade goods, but that's a bore to read as well. How about just:

* major imports

* major exports

* illegal stuff

Also, I could scan the near systems (say, in 10-15 ly range) where to import/export these goods to and from, and show where to get the highest prices.

Same question for equipment. Does anyone want to see the ''entire'' list for every system? Although I'm not sure what items I ''should'' show, when available.

As soon as you've decided on a nice layout, it is a breeze to automate it for the rest.

Hi, what about some category like star systems? Greetings: [[User:Makarius|Makarius]] 08:17, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Proposal

Being the author of FFEStarsys (and, apparently, the only one able to understand the code on jongware.com), I can output data on just about every star system of the 500 million available in virtually any format I choose.

This is just a hand-edited sample; I'm not too keen on the looks of the planet detail list. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Would you people appreciate this info for every link to a star system? At least it gives you something to click on.

I think its a great idea. thats the brilliance of wiki - anything of interest has a link (ideally) I would certainly like it, if its not too much effort for you

Populated/important systems

Certainly populated ones or notable ones. I think the full 500 million might be just a tad excessive (and it'd use up rather a lot of space in the database).

That's no problem at all. Only input I need is the system sector/system number! (Unless the fiction describes fictional systems--you're one your own, then.)

I had a thought on the ugly list of planets. Instead, I should just mention the interesting facts: you can land on Goldstein Starport (Major), or dock at O'Connor City (in orbit around Major).

I can also output the entire list of trade goods, but that's a bore to read as well. How about just:

  • major imports
  • major exports
  • illegal stuff

Also, I could scan the near systems (say, in 10-15 ly range) where to import/export these goods to and from, and show where to get the highest prices.

Same question for equipment. Does anyone want to see the entire list for every system? Although I'm not sure what items I should show, when available.

If I whip up the data, can anyone format it nicely? :) As soon as you've decided on a nice layout, it is a breeze to automate it for the rest.
