Chopped Cobra

Aegidian Industries, creators of the Behemoth for GalCop were first to step up with their design dubbed the Cobra Mark 3.5, which rapidly became known as the "Chopped Cobra" after its revolutionary hull design.

However, a few years on most of the ships in the galaxy had been re-worked by either Griff Industries or Neolite Shipyards, because nearly all ship designers had to step-up to compete with such incredible designs most of the older ships were either scrapped or sold on cheaply to other manufacturers. This was the case with the Chopped Cobra.

The re-design of the hull was based largely on the Griff Cobra and most parts were salvaged from crashed or destroyed cobras, this made the ships much cheaper and enabled them to compete with the mass-market. It didn't take long for the ship to catch on, and much like its predecessor it was largely favoured by boy-racers who adorned the hull with fancy paintings. Very shortly after, the paintings became an optional extra, with 19 different designs to choose from.

Cobra S9 and GalCop Enforcer

Also included in this OXP are Smivs' GalCop Cobra Enforcer and the Cobra S9, which are based on the Chopped Cobra. The Enforcer is a tough Police version of the chopped Cobra which will be seen from time to time in the more troubled systems - Anarchies, Feudal worlds and Multi-government systems. The Cobra S9 is the civilian version of the Enforcer. There are Hunter, Trader and Pirate NPC versions, and the Cobra S9 is also Player-buyable.
