Your job is cargo. Our job is giving you the tools to deliver it! Meet the D.T.T Atlas! He's the heavy lifter of the cargo business folks. With our new compartmentalized "Drop-n-Go" detachable cargo pod system, you will know exactly which of the ten bays holds the contract the handlers need to unload. Or, for large single contracts, simply drop the entire pod, pick up another contract, or an empty pod, and your out of the docking bay in less than 30 minutes!

"But I have always been able to have passenger berths!" You say?
Ah but you see my friends, by making these permanent, non-removable, passenger berths an integral part of the main ships hull, and utilizing the Atlas's pre-existing atmosphere/gravity/food systems, you don't need to sacrifice a single ton of cargo space! Thats right folks, Atlas has 4 passenger berths AND 750 tons of completely free cargo space! Need more berths than that? No problem! You can always add or remove additional berths (at the usual loss of 5 tons per berth) in your cargo pod just as before!

The Snake Charmer is meant to be an upgrade to the traditional Cobra Mk III. Like the Mk III she handles 25 tons of cargo, as well as 4 structurally integral passenger berths! Yes sir folks, you heard me right! ''Four'' passenger berths ''and'' 25 tons of free cargo space! Try that in your Cobra Mk III! (To make this possible however, the four berths are structurally integral to the ship, and cannot be removed. Further more, more berths ''cannot'' be added to this ship.) Other ship systems have also been upgraded as listed below.
  +
  +
In addition to the basic D.T.T. Snake Charmer, we are also excited to offer a special limited edition Snake Charmer Pinup model! In a tribute to those fighter planes of so very long ago, this special version of the Snake Charmer features a 1950's style mural painted on both sides of the hull by the universally renowned artist Paradox himself! That's right ladies and gentlemen, this limited edition features a sexy "Snake Charmer" pinup that you will find no where else in the universe! (pinup paint job will appear on player version of the ship only, npc versions will feature "normal" paint jobs.)

Due to it's more "mature" nature, we can't display it on this Wiki, but you may see the full size image by clicking [http://postimg.org/image/pljgzflmr/ here].

Feedback from some of our clients indicated that, as much as they liked the idea of our new compartmentalized "Drop-n-Go" detachable cargo pod system, the "one size fits all" approach wasn't really versatile enough for their requirements. Furthermore, they wanted to see the concept applied to medium-capacity cargo ships as well, not just massive bulk-haulers like the Atlas.
  +
  +
We put the problem to our design team, and within days, they'd come back with preliminary plans for something they'd designated "Project Kraken". We loved the sketches, and the name, and gave the go-ahead to proceed with the design work.
  +
  +
It is now our great pleasure to present to you, the D.T.T. Kraken. Its 140TC of cargo space is divided between twelve detachable cargo pods, which come in four different capacities. There are 4 x 5TC pods, 5 x 10TC pods, 1 x 20TC pod, and 2 x 25TC pods, providing for unprecedented versatility in cargo handling.

Considered the "Big Brother" of the D.T.T. Tomahawk, the D.T.T. War Lance not only handles much more cargo, it packs a punch with 4 weapon positions and 8 missile pylons. The War Lance was built to compete with the Boa Mk 2, and can be considered a respectable upgrade.

"Thinking Outside The Triangle"

D.T.T. Ship Builders Inc. came about when the D.T.T. (Death To Triangles) Design Firm and Paradox Ship Builders Inc, who had previously partnered in creating a number of outstanding ships, decided to combine forces in a formal merger. The new company continues to go from strength to strength, and despite being a recent entry to the market, have already built up a loyal following of customers.

Company Philosophy

As might be expected from the company name, D.T.T.'s designers have a considerable dislike for the old, angular style of ships of centuries past, and feel that it is foolish not to take full advantage of modern materials and construction methods, which make smooth flowing lines and curves quite practical to implement. However, D.T.T. are not primarily focusing their attentions on the luxury ship market, as some other companies with similar design philosophies tend to do, but are firmly committed to creating practical workhorse craft intended to appeal to a wide variety of potential customers.

Custom Ships

D.T.T. have also undertaken a number of commissions for the design and manufacture of custom ships, for clients who desire something truly unique. Pending permission of the owners, images and details of these custom designs are featured in a special section of our catalogue, which you may access here.

Presenting - Our Ships

Heavy Metal Freight Hauler

Heavy Metal 01.jpg

(Heavy Metal Model 'D' illustrated)

This ship was the very first product of the collaboration between D.T.T. Design and Paradox Ship Builders. Although it does not demonstrate the flowing lines of later designs, early versions of design elements now common to D.T.T. ships can still be spotted in this no-nonsense workaday ship.

Heavy Metal is available in both single and double trailer versions. Specifications for each are slightly different.

Stats for Heavy Metal S (single):

  • Cargo capacity - 50 TC
  • Energy recharge rate - Medium
  • Energy banks - 8
  • Pitch - .5
  • Roll - .9
  • Maximum speed - 0.25 LM
  • Acceleration - 10g
  • Missiles - 6
  • Weapon mounts - Fore, Aft
  • Price - 150,000 Cr
  • Availability - Tech level 5 and up

Stats for Heavy Metal D (double):

D.T.T. Mk-I

D.T.T. Mk.I.png

A general purpose cargo ship, the overall specs of the Mk-I are roughly on a par with the legendary Cobra Mk-III.

Stats:

  • Width - 64m
  • Height - 37m
  • Length - 108m

  • Roll - 2.25
  • Maximum speed - 0.345 LM
  • Acceleration - 30g
  • Missiles - 4
  • Weapon mounts - Fore, Aft, Port, and Starboard.
  • Price - 200,000 Cr
  • Availability - Tech level 9 and up

D.T.T. Wraith

D.T.T. Wraith.png

The Wraith is the cutting edge in military/special forces technology, and is largely aimed at the law enforcement/bounty-hunter market. The engine and weapons have been externalized, allowing for interior room comparable to a Cobra Mk.III; however, no room is left for a cargo upgrade, and no passenger berths can be added. This is a killing machine, friends, not a space trawler.

Stats:

  • Cargo capacity - 20 TC
  • Energy recharge rate - Excellent
  • Energy banks - 4
  • Pitch - 1.5
  • Roll - 2.0
  • Maximum speed - 0.38 LM

D.T.T. Tomahawk

D.T.T. Tomahawk.jpg

The Tomahawk is a general purpose ship with the following specifications:

  • Width - 48.8m
  • Height - 22.8m
  • Length - 100m
  • Cargo capacity - 24 TC
  • Energy recharge rate - Excellent
  • Energy banks - 4
  • Pitch - 1.0

Stats:

  • Width - 130m
  • Height - 19.4m
  • Length - 66.5m
  • Cargo capacity - 18 TC

D.T.T. Cyclops

DTT Cyclops Promo.jpg

The Cyclops represents D.T.T.'s entry into the bulk-freight carrier market. The Anaconda's biggest weaknesses have always been its' slow speed and sheer bulk. D.T.T. designers realised that by mounting the engine-pods externally, larger, more powerful engines could fitted, making for a more rectangular aspect, better suited to the shape of a docking bay, whilst still maintaining the massive cargo capacity that has made the Anaconda a firm favourite for centuries. It is expected that the higher top speed and vastly improved ease of docking will make the Cyclops a serious contender in the highly competitive bulk-freight industry.

D.T.T. Galaxy Liner

DTT Galaxy Liner Promo.jpg

Some time ago, D.T.T. was approached by a consortium of luxury cruise line operators, requesting a more stylish, modern-looking passenger liner design. The Galaxy Liner was the result. Each ship is built to order, however the internal fitout is left up to the operator to arrange and install in accordance with their specific requirements.

D.T.T. Space Zeppelin

DTT Space Zeppelin Promo.jpg

Until recently, no one knew the fate of the mad genius Dr. Mortimus Sprocket. Over 1300 years ago, he told people he was building an aether ship capable of leaving the confines of planet Earth's gravity and travelling to other worlds! But did they listen?

No! The fools!

They laughed to see his gigantic zeppelin being made not of aluminium and canvas, but of steel and iron and the secret material Sprocketonium. They snickered at the preposterous Uranium Drive engines, and guffawed at his speculations of life on other planets.

They did not, however, laugh when the monstrous bulk of the ship silently and gently lifted from the ground, and not a single grin remained when the giant ship, now no more then a speck against the clouds, suddenly disappeared out of sight in a purplish streak of fire across the sky. He was never seen by human eyes again.

However... We here at D.T.T. Shipbuilders did find his wondrous creation! On a tropical beach, on a remote uncharted planet, live a group of natives who now worship the Doctors patent leather left boot as a god. We bought the mostly intact remains of the ship from them for 3 glass beads, a sharp paring knife, two pairs of Levi's jeans (size 32 waist, 34 inseam), and a CD of "Christmas with the Worlds Greatest Elvis Impersonators". We have now faithfully restored the ship, adapted the internal systems to be compatible with modern components, re-plated the "balloon" (it's really just a cargo hold now), polished the brass plated cabin, and offer it to you, our fine discerning customers!

We now proudly present to you, the D.T.T. Space Zeppelin!

D.T.T. Atlas

DTT Atlas Promo.jpg

"Now where did those mangy dock rats stow that 30 tons of liquor?! Come on, I'm on a deadline here!"

"What do you mean they stacked 60 tons of stinking furs on top of the fragile Rygilian Angel Food Cake contract?!"

"They've gone to lunch, and can't unload me for HOW long?!?!

Sound familiar?

Your job is cargo. Our job is giving you the tools to deliver it! Meet the D.T.T. Atlas!

And here is the icing on the cake, Atlas comes with 4 luxuriously appointed and structurally integral passenger berths.

"But I have always been able to have passenger berths!" You say?

Ah but you see, my friends, by making these permanent, non-removable, passenger berths an integral part of the main ships hull, and utilizing the Atlas's pre-existing atmosphere/gravity/food systems, you don't need to sacrifice a single ton of cargo space! Thats right folks, Atlas has 4 passenger berths AND 750 tons of completely free cargo space! Need more berths than that? No problem! You can always add or remove additional berths (at the usual loss of 5 tons per berth) in your cargo pod just as before!

D.T.T. Snake Charmer

DTT Snake Charmer Promo.jpg

The Snake Charmer is meant to be an upgrade to the traditional Cobra Mk III. Like the Mk III she handles 25 tons of cargo, as well as 4 structurally integral passenger berths! Yes sir folks, you heard me right! Four passenger berths and 25 tons of free cargo space! Try that in your Cobra Mk III! (To make this possible however, the four berths are structurally integral to the ship, and cannot be removed. Further more, more berths cannot be added to this ship.) Other ship systems have also been upgraded as listed below.

(pinup paint job will appear on player version of the ship only, npc versions will feature "normal" paint jobs.) Due to it's more "mature" nature, we can't display it on this Wiki, but you may see the full size image by clicking here.

D.T.T. Kraken

DTT Kraken Promo.jpg

Feedback from some of our clients indicated that, as much as they liked the idea of our new compartmentalized "Drop-n-Go" detachable cargo pod system, the "one size fits all" approach wasn't really versatile enough for their requirements. Furthermore, they wanted to see the concept applied to medium-capacity cargo ships as well, not just massive bulk-haulers like the Atlas.

We put the problem to our design team, and within days, they'd come back with preliminary plans for something they'd designated "Project Kraken". We loved the sketches, and the name, and gave the go-ahead to proceed with the design work.
