Overview
Very little is known about the origin of this ships. A wide accepted theory link this design with some of the icons of a minority religious movement that rates the shape as "imperial".
However, no known imperial shipyard ever stepped forward to claim the paternity of this design.
It is a combat ship, and a damn good one despite relying on a single forward military grade laser. Small enought to pass unharmed amid the beams of a Rattle Cutter four-laser volley, fast enought to catch most preys and evade most pursuers, with shields meant to withstand heavy punishment.
Some wonder why the Gal Cop has not replaced the Viper class fighter with TIEs, but the most credited answer is that "No Gal Cop pilot will ever accept to stay cramped into an exotic soda can".
The complete lack of cargo leaves this ship relegated to escort duties, with the exception of some, possibly insane, bounty hunters.
