Overview

"Boxy", "Squat", "Like some sort of large rodent" - these are all descriptions that the spacecraft press came up with when the Josher first rolled off the Aegidian Inc. production lines in Geerra in 2995. Named after a narrow boat of ancient times, the spacefaring Josher shares none of the grace and elegance of its prehistoric namesake, and the press were fast to catch onto the ship's indescribable ugliness. But as the time worn cliche says, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Josher is in fact a reasonable mid-level multi role ship. Larger than a Cobra Mk.III, reasonably fast, moderately manueverable - the standard model for only Cr.175,000. For that price, it's not surprising that the ship is popular despite looks that only a mother could love.

Notable features

Equip a Josher with guns, a witch fuel injector, an ECM and energy units, then fit the cargo bay extension and you can have a well equipped ship that will give most pirates a surprise. Despite its plain looks, the ship is well built and can really take the battering it is likely to receive if taken to more dangerous systems. The main problem for the owner of a Josher is resale price; they aren't sought after, so expect fairly heavy depreciation.
