== Overview ==

Shortly after Staer9 Industries had it's assets frozen by [[GalCop]] a new company was formed, known as ASAD (Advanced Ship Armament Devision). It is rumoured that Staer9 has some place in the R&D team, but so far nothing can be proven.

The ASAD Gunship is the first ship to be officially released by ASAD, although several others have somehow found their way into the black-market. ASAD requested a special grant from [[GalCop]] to produce ships Tax-Free, which the corrupt officials quickly agreed to after acepting a shipment of the Gunships for their fleet. Because of this the Gunships are quite good value-for-money and were quickly snapped up by many pirates.
