Added the obligatory \{\{Category:Star Systems\}\} a couple'o days ago to all system info pages I generated. The index is there (wiki generated) but it bothered me that the link was still in red, ie., "no page". Took a look at some other category pages, and it seemed as if I just had to fill in some header text to appear ''above'' the index. Did so, but -- now the Cat link is gone in all system pages! What'd I do wrong!?

not difficult once you're going (ie a hassle to do it for just one ship, but faster when doing several) 
-take the pic (best in demoships sequence or shipyard, or wings, not so nice in oolitespace since the lighting is often lacking and you get plumes and such). 
-open and crop in photoshop, remove surrounding "paint" with a magic wand (ie make all non-ship transparent). I like to go over the edges with a blurring tool to avoid the harsh pixels. contrast, lightness and hue tweak (esp for pics taken in wings) 
-resize and fit into a 100x100px frame, save the png.. --[[User:Murgh|Murgh]] 10:59, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Just testing a proggie to display OXPs using (*cough*) DirectX. I updated/added a few missing images, such as the Llama (didn't have the proper bg) and the Super Cobra. [Edit 22 Jan: WTF!? No sky blue background in ''any'' of the images but mine!? ... oh wait... guess what my browser is...] [Edit:Later that same day. Re-uploaded the images, now with a proper mask. Checked them with both a ''good'' and an ''bad'' browser; no diffs anymore. JW]

Whatever happened to the Ionics ships? I can't find them on Oosat. (Besides that, a lot of Oosat links are dead!)

Since that time, the Federation and the Empire had been in a state of perpetual Cold War, only interrupted once in 900 years. It was during the 3000's that humanity made contact with another intelligent life form. Unfortunately, this contact came in the form of an unprovoked attack on the alien ship, resulting in a long and costly war with the technologically superior insectoid species, known as the [[Thargoids]].

Joining forces with its old enemy, the Empire, The Inter-Galactic Navy Research Arm, or [[INRA]] was formed. INRA was involved in finding ways to combat the Thargoid menace through both military and non military means. The joint operations served to forge together

After the end of the [[Thargoid War]] (later renamed the War of Mutual Misunderstanding, after contact with the aliens was reestablished) INRA disappeared into the darkness of myth, and the Federation returned to its cold war with the Empire.

The repulsion of both forces by the natives of Alioth was a severe black-eye to the Federation, although the Alliance would prove to be as implacable a foe of the Empire as the Federation itself was. Once equilibrium was reached between the powers, the Federation was sandwiched between the traditional rival of the Achenari empire and the new rival on its northern frontier. To an extent, this has produced a siege mentality, although relationships with both remain "neutral".

not difficult once you're going (ie a hassle to do it for just one ship, but faster when doing several) 
-take the pic (best in demoships sequence or shipyard, or wings, not so nice in oolitespace since the lighting is often lacking and you get plumes and such). 
-open and crop in photoshop, remove surrounding "paint" with a magic wand (ie make all non-ship transparent). I like to go over the edges with a blurring tool to avoid the harsh pixels. contrast, lightness and hue tweak (esp for pics taken in wings)

Just testing a proggie to display OXPs using (*cough*) DirectX. I updated/added a few missing images, such as the Llama (didn't have the proper bg) and the Super Cobra.
